The highly anticipated African nuclear safeguards summit has successfully concluded, representing a historic step forward for regional non-proliferation efforts. Supported by the European Union (EU) and championed by the AFCONE and Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority of Finland (STUK), the initiative aims to equip the continent with enhanced systems for the accounting and control of nuclear materials.
