Africa and China have reaffirmed their shared belief that mutual learning between civilizations remains a vital source of development and solidarity.

AFCONE announced the appointment of Mr. Collins Omondi as the Acting Acting Executive Secretary. The transition follows ending of term of H.E. Ahmed Bezeid Deida as the Acting Executive Secretary on 27th November 2025. However, Mr. Deida will continue to assume the duties of AFCONE Vice President.

In a major step forward on the road towards building skilled workforce in Africa nuclear landscape, African Commission on Nuclear Energy (AFCONE) and University of Nairobi (UoN) have established a strategic partnership to enhance training and skills development in nuclear science and technology.
