The Pan-African Parliament (PAP), under the leadership of Mrs. Lindiwe Khumalo welcomed African Commission of Nuclear Energy (AFCONE) delegation for strategic discussion on strengthening legislative frameworks for the peaceful use of nuclear technology in Africa.
The discussion explored ways of accelerating nuclear science and technology to foster sustainable development across the continent. The meeting concluded with a renewed partnership, with both AFCONE and PAP promising to cooperate on training, capacity building, and creating policies that facilitate the safe and secure use of nuclear technologies.
