AFCONE Acting Executive Secretary Mr. Collins Omondi welcomes fellow Mr. Patrick McDonald to the AFCONE Secretariat.
AFCONE welcomed its second fellowship cohort through the Global Research Institute partnership. The exchange program enables students from the USA to travel to Africa to conduct hands-on, collaborative research on nuclear diplomacy and non-proliferation.
The exchange bridges policy and practice, allowing future global leaders to gain hands-on experience in nuclear-weapon-free zone frameworks and collaborate directly with regional policymakers and security experts.

AFCONE Acting Executive Secretary Mr. Collins Omondi welcomes fellow Mr. Dyer Owen to the AFCONE Secretariat.
AFCONE is dedicated to fostering global knowledge transfer and empowering emerging talent to tackle complex, transnational security challenges.
Through our continued and impactful partnership with the Global Research Institute, ACONE is proud to host bright, passionate students from the United States for a specialized exchange program focused on nuclear diplomacy.
The exchange program between Africa and the USA is more than just an academic endeavor—it is a critical bridge for sharing knowledge, advancing peaceful nuclear applications, and upholding global non-proliferation standards.
By nurturing the future leaders, AFCONE is investing in the collaborative frameworks that will shape our world’s geopolitical and energy landscape for decades to come. Please join us in congratulating Dyer Owen and Patrick McDonald on their selection!
