AFCONE concludes the 5th Conference of State Parties to the Treaty of Pelindaba

From the 22^nd to the 23^rd of January 2024, AFCONE convened the 4th session of the 5th Conference of State Parties to the Treaty of Pelindaba in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The conference was attended by 29 state parties and deliberated, inter alia, on the progress in the operationalization of the Secretariat, the Annual Report of AFCONE, the governance of the organisation. and the prospects of nuclear energy in Africa’s industrial and socioeconomic development.
