The AFCONE and IAEA organised on 30 November and 01 December 2021 an Important Meeting on Leadership and Management Systems.

Several Experts from the IAEA Nuclear Energy Department and African Countries developed the subject highlighting the following concepts & processes and presenting Case Studies in Africa:

  • Leadership, along with a management system and right organizational culture, provides the vital prerequisites for successful performance of nuclear organizations both during the project and operating period.
  • Assessment of nuclear leadership and its role in improving nuclear performance is an area where practical hands-on guidance would be useful.
  • Designing and implementing a development programme with elements of leadership, management and organizational culture elements is the cornerstone of all organizations that are able to achieve and maintain long term success.
