The AFCONE Executive Secretary participated to the African Union Commission Sub Committee Energy (STC TTIIET) and raised the importance to integrate Nuclear Energy in the AU Member States Energy Mix. He highlighted the growing interest of several African Member States and the Cooperation Programmes launched with the IAEA and Providers of Nuclear Technology.
Le Sub Committee adopted the Expert Meeting Report and Ministerial Declaration which invite AFCONE to Strengthen its Cooperation Programmes with Regional and International Partners for the Development of Safe and Secure Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Energy, including Nuclear Power, in Africa.
