This Informal Workshop (UNODA Programme Workshop on NWFZ 7 to 9 July 2020) has been organised in preparation to the 2nd Session of the Conference on the Establishment of a Middle East Zone Free of Nuclear Weapons and Other Weapons of Mass Destruction.

The Conference held its First Session from 18 November to 22 November 2019 at United Nations Headquarters in New York under the presidency of Jordan. The Conference adopted a Political Declaration and its Final Report.

The Second Session of the Conference is scheduled to take place from 16 November to 20 November 2020 at United Nations Headquarters in New York.
